A winter vacation
at the Mesnerhof,
Charming holidays – with special feel-good moments
Rasa as ideal starting point: skiing in the ski areas Mount Plose, Gitschberg, and Valles
The Mesnerhof Chalet offers an ideal starting point for winter sports enthusiasts. Do you love variety and want to discover many different ski areas and enjoy kilometres of slopes? We recommend the sun-kissed slopes of the ski area Bressanone/Mount Plose, Gitschberg-Val Giovo and Valles; a free ski bus is available from Rasa. In the ski area of our local mountain Plose you may enjoy more than 40 kilometres of slopes, sit comfortably on the large sun terraces of the ski huts or embark on winter hikes in South Tyrol, for example, with snowshoes. The toboggan run ‘RudiRun’ (9 km) is ideal for children. The ski area Valles, 15 km away, is ideal for beginners. Everyone can learn to ski here. Of course, advanced skiers are drawn to the black slopes and the Fun Parks. Plan de Corones near Brunico offers ideal conditions and is also a highlight when it comes to après-ski.
Adventure holidays with children in South Tyrol: Fun Parks, tobogganing, and winter hiking

Or a winter hike to the picturesque Fanes Alm in Valles where you may enjoy a hearty snack and then return on toboggans? Would you like to go touring skiing or snowshoe hiking? Feel free to ask us about the safest and most beautiful itineraries for an unforgettable winter day in South Tyrol. Directly in Rasa there is also a selection of small slopes and meadows that invite you to build a snowman, ice skate on the pond and romp freely. Festive vibes at the Christmas Markets
During the festive season, the Advent and Christmas Markets in Bressanone, Chiusa and Brunico unfold their very special flair. In addition to typical cuisine, the markets also offer traditional handicrafts and lots of festive vibes. At the Christmas Market in Chiusa there is also a variety of medieval-style entertainment with jugglers, taverns, and music. And when the pristine snowflakes wrap the small towns in their white dress, then a winter holiday in South Tyrol offers top conditions to make it right up to the top of your personal list of the “most beautiful holidays”.
